A massive public meeting organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), titled Haindava Shankharavam, was held on Sunday at Kesarapalli from 12 PM to 5 PM, drawing an estimated crowd of five lakh participants. The event saw the attendance of saints, religious heads, and prominent Hindu leaders from across the country. To accommodate the large turnout, the organizers arranged 15 special trains and thousands of buses. The meeting focused on advocating for autonomy for Hindu temples, seeking their removal from government control, and addressing issues such as attacks on Hindus and temples.

Vijayawada was adorned in saffron hues, with participants chanting slogans like "Jai Shri Ram," "Har Har Mahadev," and "Jai Bajrang Bali" during processions. Approximately 3,300 police personnel were deployed to ensure security for the event. Key resolutions and discussions at the meeting revolved around granting autonomy to temples currently under the endowments department and addressing concerns over the safety of Hindu institutions. Several significant decisions are expected to emerge from the discussions.
