NEW DELHI: After the grand unveiling of the Rs 100 coin featuring Bharat Mata to celebrate 100 years of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the Modi government released yet another historic commemorative coin, this time to honour 150 years of Arya Samaj, one of India’s most influential reformist movements.
According to reports, this special Rs 150 coin carres the sacred Gayatri Mantra inscribed in Devanagari script, symbolising the timeless message of wisdom, light, and truth that the Arya Samaj has spread since its foundation by Swami Dayananda Saraswati in 1875.
The Arya Samaj, founded in 1875, has been a guiding light in India’s social and spiritual awakening. With its motto “Krinvanto Vishwam Aryam” (Make the world noble), it championed education, equality, women empowerment, and Vedic values.
