In a powerful tale of love, faith, and transformation, a young Muslim woman named Zarina chose to embrace Sanatan Dharma to marry her beloved, Sajan, in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh.

Sajan, a car driver from Manjhanpur whose father works as a Class IV employee in a government office, first met Zarina during a trip to Pratapgarh two years ago. Their meeting, seemingly accidental, sparked a deep connection. They exchanged contact details and remained in touch through phone calls and internet chats. Over time, their relationship blossomed into love.

However, their cross-religious relationship soon faced opposition from Zarina’s family. Confronted by resistance and societal pressure, Zarina made a life-changing decision — she left her home and arrived in Manjhanpur to be with Sajan. Initially hesitant, Sajan’s family eventually welcomed her.

Determined to formalise their union and seeking full acceptance, Zarina chose to adopt Sanatan Dharma of her own free will. She underwent purification rituals at the Durga Mandir in Manjhanpur and took on the name Reena. The wedding was conducted as per Hindu traditions, with the chanting of Vedic mantras and rituals led by VHP leader Ved Prakash Satyarthi, who also played the role of ‘Gharaati’ (bride’s family).

Reena publicly expressed that her decision was not coerced and credited Yogi Adityanath, known for his strong Hindutva stance, as her inspiration. Her transformation and union with Sajan marked not just the culmination of a love story but a symbolic step of integration and choice of faith.
